As I promissed, here is the review of the Anatomicals’ pack of A Pair of Wrinkle Kickers that I bought from ASOS.com

The main thing that make me bought this pack was the catchy name (who doesn’t want to kick some of the wrinkles out of our faces?) and, of course the super afordable price + 50 per cent off!!

It’s still on sale at ASOS.com ladies, so if you like my review and want to try them out, you bettter hurry!

My quest for a good moisturizer is endless…what works for most doesn’t necessarily works for me. I have a mixed type skin. Mixed type is the most common and the most “pain-in-the-ass” kind. Because the level of oil on your T-zone and the level of dry/sensitive on everywhere else isn’t standard for all. Somme creams, specially designed for mixed skin, can work on you T-Zone perfectly leaving it matte and soft and dry even more your checks. They can clog your pores if they’re too oily and turn your forehead a Disco Ball.

Most recently I used the Sephora Face age prevention moisturizer with 15 SPF for normal skin type. The assistant in the shop assured me that this one was the right one for my skin. She couldn’t be more wrong.~

The first two uses, it worked fine, but then my face started to look like a disco ball, too oily, and with clogged pores. The cream costed me 20€ or a bit more, I can’t remember.

The other big thing I didn’t like was the omission of the ingredients of the jar. It only says the active ingredients (Octinoxate, Octocrylene and Titanium Dioxide) and the natural (ginseng, rice extract and white tea) everything else is ommited! I’m not a big cosmetologist expert but I would like to know whatexactly I’m using in my face.

Other problem was the eyes, after I apply the moisturizer my eyes get all irritated and wattery, even after considered efforts to avoid the eye area.

Besides, after a week the top of the jar detached from the jar itself…It’s what I call a “falling apart beauty product”. 😀 Maybe It worked for you of for the lady who assisted me, but not for me.

So I decided to give Anatomicals a try! The products came yesterday.

It came exactly as the photo on Asos. Two products, one face cream and one eye gel in a plastig bag with string cords. The bag was so vigorously closed that I needed to use the top of my hair scissor to open it!

I made (for the first time) a video, to give you an idea of the products. No sound, sorry, but I will write about each product individually and rate it in the end. (And don’t notice my fingers with no manicure at all!)

• Anatomicals revitalizing eye gel

It’s the minty green plastic jar on the video. It contais 15ml of eye gel.

The packaging is really funny in both jars. In this one on the top we have a girl with puffy eyes looking at what it looks like a doctor’s eye exam board that say’s “Cooling Tightening Eye Gel”. The label around the jar says:

You need your eyes rested. When your eyes look like they deserve a 2 week holiday, apply this soothing gel. The only glasses a girl really needs are ones filled with banana daiquiri.

Get it? glasses?

On the bottom we have the full ingredients list as well as the place where it was made (UK): Aqua, Glycerin, Glyceril Polymethancrylate, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Flower Water, Copolymer, Scleroglucan, Diazolidinyl Urea, Lodopropynyl, Witch Hazel Extract, Perfume, Butylcarbamate, Carbober, Allantoin, Triethanolamine, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA.

The texture of the gel it’s dense so you can calculate the amount needed to use ( half a pea size will do) and it turns into a water texture while applying. It isn’t oily and after you applied it you won’t even notice it is there, no shine at all. You will only notice after a minute or two, the skin around your eye area will that to tighten and you will feel like you have tape in your eyelids, but in a good way. the puffines around the eyes desapear and you no longer have to worry about your boss telling you that you look straight out of bed (even if you are). The cool feeling isn’t too much, it’s not artic feeling, more like a cool breeze.

But the effects don’t last 24hours, If you plan to hangout with your friend after school or work maybe you should reapply to perk the eyes again.

The gel doesn’t interfere with your makeup habits, you can apply eyeprimer and eyeshadow if you like and it’s almost odorless.

Rating:

Packaging – 4.5/5 (love the originality and the idea that they thought in every aspect to make te experience of using an eye gel fun, it would be perfect if they changed to glass jars)

Price – 5/5 (Super afordable! The only inconvinience is that you need to buy it online.)

The actual product – 4/5 (It does what it says, cooling and tightening, but the effects are not for 24 hr)

• Anatomicals Rejuvenating Face Cream

The blue jar on the video with 50 ml of cream inside.

In this one, the top of the jar has an image of a job center with a huge line of plastic surgeons. The label says :

 Thank f**k, no nip tuck. The gnashing of plastic surgeon’s porcelain veneers can be hear as you apply this anti wrinkle cream in upward strokes. Still, they’ve always got your tiny boobs to enhance.

This one can be offensive to some but I only find it amusing. I absolutely love the british humor.

On the bottom states the ingredients and the place of manufacture (also UK): Aqua, Cyclomethicone, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Glycosaminoglycans, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Plysorbathe-80, Titanium Dioxide, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Aluminium Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Mineral Oil, Alumina, Carbomer, Triethoamiaol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Alpha-Bisabolol, Propyparaben, BHT, Disodium EDTA.

Ok, this one has some con’s. Alcohol, BHT and Aluminium are not exactely good in a moisturizer or in any type of beauty product.  I only know some stuff about it, and the rest of the ingredients sounds like an ancient language from another planet. If anyone could enlight me about it I would be really apreciated.

The white texture of the cream blends easely with your skin, leaving it matte and healthy-looking (no bisco ball on the forehead or nose!). It moistures and controls the oils in every right part of my face for now, let’s see after some weeks of usage (I will update this if it turns out to be a floppy cream).

Actual product- 3/5 (until now, it works just fine as a moisturizer. However, what works for my skin type may don’t work for yours. The rejuvenating effect, anti-wrinkle bláh bláh bláh, I didn’t noticed, for the price you pay for the two you can’t expect miracles, just a good eye gel and a normal moisturizer with some wrinkle PREVENTION. If you want something expremely specific for wrinkles you may not find it in this product.)

Just a little detail on the bottom of the bag, Anatomicals signature name: “We only want you for your body”.

Another cool products from Anatomicals can be the perfect funny gift for your girlfriends. I like both eyemasks, one to sleep and one to slay the bags under the eyes.

Anatomicals review

Como prometi aqui está a review dos produtos da anatomical que comprei na ASOS.com em saldo!

A minha saga para encontrar um creme de dia e um de noite para a minha pele mista é uma aventura dispendiosa…principalmente porque a maioria nos cremes não têm amostras, o que me obriga a compra-los. O problema para peles mistas é que é difícil encontrar um creme especifico que funcione com todas as pessoas, porque há pessoas com mais oleosidade ou com áreas mais desidratadas que outras. 

O meu último, de dia, era da Sephora da linha Face age prevention moisturizer com factor de protecção 15 para peles normais (as outras opções eram pele seca ou pele oleosa e a assistente afirmou que este creme funciona bem para peles mistas). O creme de 50ml custa à volta dos 20 e tal euros e garante minimizar as primeiras rugas para além de ser um boião todo xpto, fosco com os princípios activos descritos na parte de trás: Octinoxate, Octocrylene e Titanium Dioxide; e os extractos naturais à frente : ginseng, extracto de arroz e chá branco.

A primeira coisa que torci o nariz foi não estar explicito tudo o que aquele creme tinha, não sou cosmetologista mas para alguma coisa existe internet e gostava de saber para que é que algumas coisas servem. A tampa descolou após a terceira ou quarta utilização. Depois, aquele creme irritava-me ligeiramente os olhos mesmo tendo o cuidado de não aplicar perto dos olhos. Para que serve um creme de rugas que nos faz chorar? E a última coisa que me fez decididamente dizer “não” ao creme foi o facto de me deixar a pele gordurosa e brilhante. Porque eu tenho uma pele sensivel, que com qualquer coisa a linha T (testa nariz e queixo) ficam logo bolas de cristal se o creme for demasiado gordo ou as faces ficam repuxadas de for demasiado orientado para peles mistas a oleosas.

Enquanto andava a “farejar” os saldos a ASOS deparei-me com uma promoção de dois cremes da Anatomicals por metade do preço (€5.64 os dois). Vou ser sincera, o que me chamou a atenção foi o nome do conjunto : “a pair of wrinkle kickers”. Eu gosto de produtos com o seu lado irreverente e com frases chamativas, como já o referi no meu post sobre os produtos da Soap&Glory. O humor inglês para gozar até mesmo com eles próprios é demasiado bom para se deixar passar. Eu sei…sou uma consumista compulsiva que é escrava da publicidade e do marketing…blá. blá, blá. Mais vale comprar algo que nos divirta e assim contribuir para uma empresa pequena que resolve apostar em soluções diferentes para atrair o público que andar a comprar religiosamente produtos a grandes marcas que  estão no seu grande cadeirão em cima do pedestal e digam : “consumam meros mortais, mas depressa, que tenho o jacto pronto para ir para o meu resort exclusivo nas Maldivas”.

Bem, os produtos chegaram ontem e fiquei muito contente. O carteiro até bufa cada vez que tem de subir para me entregar algo. hihi…

Os dois cremes vieram dentro da bolsa de plástico como está na fotografia da ASOS, estava tão apertado que tive de ir buscar a minha tesoura de cabelo para ajudar-me a abrir.

O creme de olhos  é de 15 ml e o de cara de 50ml. Vou fazer uma descrição de cada um em separado. Também fiz um mini-filme, que não vale nada porque é a primeira vez que faço uma coisa do género e a minha voz não é grande coisa por isso é só imagem mas dá para terem uma noção do produto.

• Gel de olhos Anatomicals revitalising eye gel.

15 ml  de gel num boião de plástico transparente. Na tampa uma imagem de uma rapariga com os olhos semi-cerrados a tentar ler aquilo que parece ser aqueles quadros do oculista onde está escrito “cooling tightening eye gel”. A volta do boião encontra-se o nome do gel mais uma frase humorística:

You need your eyes rested; When your eyes look like they deserve a 2 week holiday, apply this soothing gel. The only glasses a girl really needs are ones filled with banana daiquiri.

Eu não consigo fazer a tradução correcta para esta frase pois eles jogam com o duplo significado de óculos e copos (glasses).

Na parte de baixo encontram-se os ingredientes: Aqua, Glycerin, Glyceril Polymethancrylate, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Flower Water, Copolymer, Scleroglucan, Diazolidinyl Urea, Lodopropynyl, Witch Hazel Extract, Perfume, Butylcarbamate, Carbober, Allantoin, Triethanolamine, PEG-40, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA.

Feito no Reino Unido. Já agora.

O gel é frio, mal se aplica torna-se aquoso e é absorvido pela pele, sem deixar nenhum tipo de brilho. Apesar de dizer nos ingredientes que contêm perfume eu não sinto nenhum tipo de odor sem ser o normal de um creme. Ao principio não se sente absolutamente nada mas passado um minuto eu comecei a sentir as pálpebras a serem puxadas, quase como se tivesse feito um lifting. O bagos desapareceram quase completamente. Atenção: o efeito não dura 24h, talvez quem o aplicou de manha o deva fazer ao final da tarde também se tenciona sair à noite.

Avaliação:

Embalagem- 4.5/5 (podia ter o boião de vidro)

Preço – 5/5 (super acessível, tendo só o inconveniente de comprar online)

Produto em si – 4/5 ( não dura o dia todo, mas para quem quer uma situação de emergência para minimizar rapidamente os efeitos de uma noite “agressiva” ou simplesmente acordar/desinchar mais depressa este gel é o indicado…o patrão já não vai reclamar que acabaram de sair da cama, mesmo que tenha acontecido exactamente isso!)

• Creme de cara Anatomicals Rejuvenating Face Cream

Boião de plástico de 50ml, Creme de textura suave branca. O cheiro é semelhante ao Barral mas a uma intensidade 80% inferior.

Na tampa a imagem de uma agência de emprego e uma fila de espera cheia de cirurgiões plásticos.`

À volta do boião a frase:

Este humor é mais contundente e para algumas pessoas ofensivo. Mas é este tipo de frases sarcásticas e mordazes que a marca Anatomicals se orgulha de usar.

Por baixo do boião, a lista de ingredientes: Aqua, Cyclomethicone, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Stearyl Alcohol, Glycosaminoglycans, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Plysorbathe-80, Titanium Dioxide, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Aluminium Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Panthenol, Methylparaben, Mineral Oil, Alumina, Carbomer, Triethoamiaol, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Alpha-Bisabolol, Propyparaben, BHT, Disodium EDTA.

Ok, este têm BHT, que, acho, que faz mal à saúde… E alumínio, que, acho que também faz mal… Mas tudo o resto para mim é como a língua perdida de um povo qualquer no Star Wars. Se alguém me pudesse explicar para que cada coisa ali dentro daquele frasco serve agradecia.

Entretanto, como sou uma aventureira, continuo a usa-lo!

A textura apesar de branca funde-se rapidamente na pele e !Hooray! Não fico uma Disco Ball, após  aplicado, o creme preserva a hidratação da pele deixando as minhas bochechas suaves e a minha zona T mate! Talvez daqui a uma semana venho afirmar que tenho a pele de um bebé!

Produto em si – 3/5 ( até agora funciona e bem, daqui a uma semana verifico se a minha pele já está saturada ou não deste produto. No entanto, o que funciona para mim pode não funcionar para outra pessoa de pele mista pelos motivos que já afirmei. Este valor deve-se também ao facto de conter ingredientes como álcool, alumínio e BHP, conhecidos por fazerem mal à pele. Se me perguntarem pelo efeito de lifting ou atenuar de rugas… senhoras, sejam realistas, o que lá está lá está e se querem mesmo ter cara de porcelana sugiro que tentem encontrar algo que faça recuar o tempo porque cremes e tratamentos no máximo, só adiam ou atrasam o nosso relógio de renovação celular. Este creme para hidratante é bom, mas por 5 euros não se espera que faça milagres…)

Um pequeno detalhe, a frase mais conhecida da Anatomicals no fundo da bolsa de plástico: “We only want you for your body”. (<3)

Bem é tudo por agora…. Se estiverem interessadas aproveitem enquanto o pack tem 50% de desconto!

Existem outros produtos bastante cómicos que se podem tornar prendas acessíveis para uma amiga que faça anos…Destaco as duas máscaras, uma para dormir e outra para tratamento.

Eu não lucro com esta review, têm somente caracter informativo para quem tem pele mista e precisa de encontrar um creme hidratante decente para o seu tipo de pele.
